Clydeplan Development Plan Scheme and Participation Statement 2022/23 Published
Clydeplan has published its latest Development Plan Scheme and Participation Statement (March 2022 - March 2023).
The purpose of the Development Plan Scheme is to outline the steps which Clydeplan will take in support of the implementation of the new planning system as set out in the Planning (Scotland) Act 2019 in particular with regard to supporting the development of National Planning Framework 4, through the preparation of an indicative Regional Spatial Strategy and the future preparation of a Regional Spatial Strategy (RSS) for the Glasgow City Region.
As Scotland’s only metropolitan area the Clydeplan local authorities have a long standing commitment to, and recognition of the value of strategic land use planning for the west of Scotland. The authorities recognise the importance of having a land use spatial strategy for the City Region which supports the delivery of its economic, social and environmental ambitions.
In this respect Clydeplan will continue to support partnership working and will seek to engage with key stakeholders in developing any future RSS along with related RSS guidance, other strategic planning activities, having cognisance of the Planning (Scotland) Act 2019.
